At Solar Select, we believe a solar installation should be about more than simply fitting panels on a roof. It’s about understanding what each customer needs, recommending the right solution, and delivering a professional installation from the initial enquiry right through to completion.
For Lucy, we designed and installed a 6.65kWp solar PV system, combined with the Goodwe ESA all on one system, giving her the ability to generate, store and use more of her own renewable energy.
The Installation
The system was supplied and installed in May 2026 and included:
The combination of a 6.65kWp solar array and substantial battery storage was designed to maximise the amount of solar energy Lucy could make use of, helping reduce reliance on electricity from the grid.
The installation was completed with Bird Guard, providing additional protection around the solar array and helping prevent birds from nesting underneath the panels.
An Amazing Start
Since the system was installed in May 2026, it has already generated an impressive 2.24MWh (2,240kWh) of electricity.
With this case study being written in August 2026, that is an excellent level of generation in just a few months, demonstrating the performance of the system through the summer period.
With the batteries able to store surplus solar energy for later use, Lucy can make even more of the electricity her panels generate.
